CSU study says beer brewers adding jobs faster than other industries in Colorado

Though it may seem obvious, it’s nice to see some credible proof that the craft beer industry is alive and growing.  Colorado State University released a report detailing the impact of breweries on their local economies.  Needless to say, the results are favorable, and may be the reason Colorado’s Governor John Hickenlooper calls North Colorado “The Napa Valley of Beer”.  Follow the link below to the original article by the Reporter Herald.

“The economists looked at giant Anheuser-Busch; New Belgium, which is the third-largest craft brewer in the country with plans to expand to the East Coast; Equinox Brewing; Fort Collins Brewery; Funkwerks; and Odell Brewing… The report said employment growth at the breweries outpaced the rest of Larimer County’s employers from 2000 to 2010 — at a rate of 22 percent, compared with 6.3 percent for all other industries.”
